"The One with the Medallion" is a true tribute to sustainability, as all materials in this trophy are made of wood.
The medallion is made of wooden boards from old and used pallets. The boards will have visible signs of use in the form of dents and bumps. The boards will however be sanded and cleaned, there will be different types of wood among the boards and there will be a slight difference in the thickness of the boards, however no more than 2 mm in a batch.
The medallion holder is made from leftover wood from the production of window frames, the wood would normally have been sent for incineration and is now used instead for a medallion holder. The holder has been treated with an organic stain made on the rusty nails from the old pallets and vinegar that has previously been used to clean coffee machines in Hedensted municipality.
