The Llama figurine - symbol of sustainable growth

The Birth of the Llama

Since 2020, Zweck has been celebrating excellence, and in 2024, the iconic Llama statue came to life. The year before, artist and sculptor Jonas Møller was inspired to create a figurine based on the graceful Llama. He envisioned it beautifully crafted in recycled wood. Zweck agreed with his vision and saw the value in creating a statue symbolizing sustainability and the outstanding achievement of being awarded the Llama distinction. Since then, Llama companies have had the opportunity to acquire a Llama statue as recognition of their efforts and commitment to sustainability.

Handcrafted in Denmark

The Llama figurine is handmade at Zweck in Horsens. In the woodworking workshop, discarded pallets are disassembled and planed to the correct thickness, after which the wood is carefully inspected and sorted. The wood is then laser-cut into the conical shapes of the llama and glued together in three layers. The podium is made from leftover wood from the assemblies on large pallets.

So, regarding the name...

Once all processes are completed, the figurine is engraved with the logo and "Llama 2024" along with the current year, after which it is ready to be presented at one of the country's leading companies in sustainability.
